First off, I have to say I am a loyal fan of Renee Rose'southward from way dorsum. I love her historicals, peculiarly The Westerfield Affair, as well every bit her action adventures ranging from Condom in His Artillery to her latest Sci Fi, The Paw of Vengeance. She always delivers great characters that you gotta dearest, a tight, well adult plot and a romantically satisfying HEA. Her spankings and punishments are exciting and a guaranteed turn on. She'southward pretty much a one click author for me.The opening of The Don's Daughter is a existent hook and sets up Carlo's character beautifully. I couldn't look to find out how he fared in America. He's a panty-melting hero. I could just imagine drowning in those gorgeous eyes. Summertime is a sympathetic heroine, but she'south a little besides needy for me. However, I recollect that's in perfect keeping with her submissive character.
I thoroughly enjoyed the development of their relationship aslope the crime mob plot and information technology was peachy to come across the different characters from the first two books. Renee has really managed to create a sense of family and belonging. I loved Carlo's determination to protect Summertime from her own destructive behavior. I know that very moment that turned me off would be a big plough on for fans of BDSM, especially D/southward.
Given that, although The Don's Daughter is not one of Renee's favorites for me, information technology is a great BDSM story and deserves a hot 5 stars, especially if you love a caring Dominant and a sensitive submissive. I highly recommend it and the whole The Bossman Series to fans of BDSM and D/due south.

I had read my first volume of Renee Rose via NetGalley. I absolutely loved that book (Stepbrother's Rules)! Even so, looking through Amazon I noticed all her books were $4.99 and only 2 are on Kindle Unlimited and one of those is the one I reviewed for NetGalley and the other is a second story in a series (which I hate to read series out of lodge since I may not understand the whole storyline).
This book is one of the cheaper ones at $three.82 with over 100 pages. I would beloved to run across more than of her books either keep sale for $.99 (in which instance I will stock up) or publish via Kindle Unlimited (I'yard not sure what'due south all entailed with this).
That said, I did really like this book. The suspenseful aspect of Carlo being a made man and 2nd to the don was great. I liked the prologue of the volume of how Carlo left his home country and came to America. Initially I idea to myself - What'southward the point? Just become on with the story! But reading farther in the book I actually liked knowing a lilliputian bit of Carlo's groundwork and his motivations. And reading between the lines I liked the fact that he worked his mode up the ladder to get the Don's 2nd in command (though I'yard sure it was a bit easier because he lived in the same household?). I liked that in that location was already allure between Summer and Carlo from the beginning though she was too young for him to actually starting time anything with.
I loved how protective Carlo was of Summer and how he always watched her and so he knew why she was at the strip guild and how he helped her through her hangups past beingness the protective 'daddy' to his little daughter. I've got to say though I exercise like reading the bdsm genre I was never really interested in the daddy/girl ageplay focus. However later on reading my first Renee Rose book and then this one I've been doing more reading of this genre. Information technology's not a genre that's going to exist a favorite, but I will no longer stay away from this genre considering it tin be quite hot particularly how Renee Rose writes it.

I loved the way Carlo saw merely Summertime. His sole purpose was to take care of her, to ensure she was healthy both physically and emotionally. And if that overlapped with his dominant nature, and then information technology was a good matter she enjoyed that part of him. He's totally controlling, completely alpha, and extremely sexy. This is the type of book that's going to prepare your kindle on fire!

I really liked everything this book had to offer. Renee as usual did a great job with this book keeping things curt and extra hot, all while spinning a tale that makes you lot want to fight forth with these two for their love.
Summer was looking for a thrill and luckily for her Carlo was able to requite her a thrill, all while keeping her in line; stopping her path of destruction and creating a pathway to happiness and love. My favorite character in this volume had to be Carlo considering he was juggling so much trying to exist a neat Underboss and give Summer what she needed at the same time. I also loved that he was potent merely non afraid to bear witness a softer side when necessary showing not just his family but Summertime a side of him they did not expect.
Overall this volume was really practiced, it reminded me of the 'Godfather' in many ways all while keeping things and situations very different in the sleeping accommodation and on the streets. Great task Renee can't await to meet what you come up upwardly with adjacent!

I found this third book better than the showtime 2 with a depth and I had the impression that the writer worked more in describing the mafia globe and giving deep analysis to the characters' feelings. I liked the fact that she mentioned other hole-and-corner groups and introducing to the Russian mafia. Concerning the erotic scenes, once again they revolve around spanking. I loved how much power exchange goes on in this book. It's a pretty heavy D/south relationship between the two of them, which works out really well for both of them. Summer is very much a submissive type, and when Carlo takes her in hand, she starts to be able to get herself dorsum to herself.
Overall, I really liked the story, but I felt like some of the bits with Carlo's brother had kind of been tacked on and the book would've been just every bit proficient without that chip in there.
